Cynthia -
born and raised in
Spanish Harlem. As a child drawn to music, she sought inspiration from
the brightest stars of the time such as disco legend Donna Summer. With
the guidance of a good friend in the music business famed American music
producer Mickey Garcia, Cynthia experienced the life of a live performer
first hand. “At that moment I thought, I could do this and more
importantly, I knew I wanted to,” Cynthia says. One year later, Cynthia
signed a recording contract with Mic-Mac Records and had written her
first mega hit song “Change On Me.”
The success of her first single continued as Mic-Mac records released
“Endless Nights” and three more hit singles from her debut album
Cynthia, which made its mark throughout the United States and European
dance clubs and established Cynthia as one of dance music’s biggest and
brightest stars. Her first LP was quickly followed up by another
full-length album, Cynthia II, which helped solidify her position as the
Queen of Freestyle. The biggest hit came from Mickey Garcia’s produced
track “Dream Boy Dream Girl” a dance music duet with fellow record label
star "Johnny O". The hit song became the biggest hit record release that
Mic-Mac Records ever produced or released selling over 2 million copies
in the United States alone.
With the hits “Change On Me,” “Thief of Hearts,” “Love Me Tonight”
and “Dream Boy/ Dream Girl” under her belt, all garnering Billboard
chart action, Cynthia is poised to go to the next level of her career.
Breaking new ground, her new album "Thinking About You", contains the
recent hit single “If I Had The Chance” and the title track single
“Thinking About You.”
Cynthia now follows up her success of "If I Had The Chance," (which took
New York City by storm, remaining on dance music station WKTU's top ten
for over 24 weeks!) by releasing the title track "Thinking About You,"
another radio-driven hit produced by Frank Lamboy and Andy Wedeen with
remixes by Lenny "Linus" Douglas, Rich P and Slammin' Sam.
Cynthia continues to tour world wide and perform all her recent and classical hits.
